Designing for Environmental Sustainability (Consultation version of the adopted Climate Change and Design SPD)
The event is not currently available for consultation.
The Designing for Environmental Sustainability Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) has been drafted to assist with the implementation of the adopted Core Strategy. The SPD will support the following Core Strategy policies: CS63 Responses to Climate Change, CS64 Climate Change, Resources and Sustainable Design of Developments, CS65 Renewable Energy and Carbon Reduction, and CS67 Flood Risk Management.
The consultation draft of the SPD contains four guidelines, covering Green Roofs, Contributions to an Off-site Carbon Reduction Scheme, The Definition of a ‘Conversion’ for the purposes of policies CS64 and CS65, and Decommissioning Renewable/Low-Carbon Energy Infrastructure. It also sets out the scope for a toolkit of advice and guidance to further support the policies and guidelines.
